[SOLVED] Issues With Greeter

i recently dual-booted my laptop with archlinux and windows whenever i try to open it the screen is stuck like shown on ctrl+alt+f2 i login thru tty3 and then finally restart sddm and the it boots up gui is there a fix for this i choose KDE plasma and i even tried with lightdm and the result was same

Did you install/enabled LightDM sudo pacman -S lightdm lightdm-gtk-greeter and sudo systemctl enable lightdm?? And also did you disable sddm before??

Yes

I used chatgpt to fix it it somehow made me execute some x11 commands by that i was able to see display through x11 but not sure if its permanent or even reliable

Okay, run sudo systemctl disable lightdm and install sudo pacman -S ly!

Thnx man also could u maybe help me with bit of the KDE setup like from surface only idk earlier when i tried installing things like konsole they werent preinstalled or anything and wont open if i install through store

If you don't have a terminal just switch tty and run sudo pacman -S kde-utilities

After that reboot and you should have a konsole.

I also had a question should i switch to hyprland for better aesthetics my main purpose is customization and debloat and learning linux overall wt do u say

Keep using Plasma for a bit, then you can switch. Just use the default until you become familiar with everything.
