This will undervolt your CPU when its not needing full voltage. It should help a bit but honestly opening the device and doing a thermal mod is whats gonna help the most. I could get 20C cooler with liquid metal and removing the exhaust fan foam on my MSI.
Also if the BIOS has any form of auto overclock disable it. Auto OC are usually very bad.
Its just a gimmick to push numbers, any OC should be done manually unless its RAM XMP profiles.

btw the issue with fh4 was thermal throttle from the start
