ive seen another thread but that solution did not work
whenever i turn on my computer, it gives me a blank screen with a cursour in the top right, i have to go into another tty to reboot sddm then it works
any help?

sudo systemctl set-default graphical.target ? Also whats your gpu and drivers?

Did you also enable the service to start on boot?

If its dkms make sure you have linux-headers installed assuming youre not on Zen.

Im ready to bet that switching to lightdm would just work sometimes sddm is real fussy, otherwise quick like that I dont know what else to suggest, Im in the middle of watching a movie lol 😅
