Steam window resizing problem

how to fix steam resizing windows on each launch of the program? it's the only program that does this, I am on x11 xfce4

can you try maximizing steam, minimizing it by clicking on the taskbar and maximizing it by clicking on the taskbar?

I've been looking at github issues and they all seem to say that they have multiple monitors

from my experience it must be steam related since only steam has this issue for me, everything else remembers position and window size

also might be an issue with high dpi
