so i found an old laptop and it says it has a Nvidia GEForce 745M in it and i like to take advantage of the card. so i grabed my arch install which is on my 1TB drive and I used fastfetch to list out the specs and it seems to list the nvidia card just fine. however, blender, blender benchmark, and cemu emulator doesnt detect the GPU but detects the intergrated graphics. now mind i cannot test on the internal HDD that has windows 10 installed because it is EXTREMELY slow so im kind of stuck. any help? (ive installed propitiatory graphics btw)

blender needs a GPGPU api installed to be able to use gpu acceleration
in which for nvidia that would be cuda
and since the card is so old cuda has probably dropped support for it long ago
so you'll have ot either dig out an old version, manually install, and pray that it works
or use alternative benchmarking methods
idk about cemu
find an older version of blender or...?
no
find an old version of cuda
that still has support for 745M
where can i find that, i barely have any knowlage of nvidia
somewhere in their official website probably
just a heads up its gonna be tedious to setup
and likely will not work
and even if you do manage to install it correctly it might conflict with new versions of libraries you have
btw fyi i think even 1000 series support was dropped about a year ago
let alone 745M
.aw nvidia
