So basically I might have bricked my gpu driver, or some other related gpu shiz, cause when I play my game heavy on shaders, Wuthering Waves to be more specific, it can't seem to utilize my gpu (0% gpu utilization according to my system monitor). Other softwares like Blender can use my gpu just fine. I will send the log of packages I suspect that bricked my drivers
#I bricked my gpu driver

also I can't seem to reinstall the removed package lib32-amdvlk through pacman, yay, or paru
it might not be the actual cause but Im dum so....
This seems more like an issue with WuWa than a driver issue, and I definitely don't think you've bricked anything
bricking usually refers to no-going-back scenarios where your hardware becomes very expensive bricks
it runs just fine yesterday tho :(
as for lib32-amdvlk, have you enabled the multilib repository for pacman?
this is the sort of scenario where I'd look for wuwa specific logs to try and get to the source of what gpu it's trying to render on - does the game run at all? or do you just get a crash/blackscreen/similar
I think I did
#[multilib-testing]
#Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
I can only get until the log in screen, it crashes when I enter the game
Checked the aur pages, there doesn't seem to be a package named lib32-amdvlk in any repo. It's possible that it was renamed or replaced in the aur and an install or upgrade replaced the old package on your machine.
how do u execute your launcher
not launcher. I use steam to launch the game directly
yea.. that guy..
go to the game settings and launch options for me
what do I put on the launch options
__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only %command%
enter this in the game launch options
also give me
__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer"
is that like prime run?
do as written
aight lemme
show me what u have done alr
launched the game with this option, still doesn't use my gpu
do I put this in launch option or bash?
bash
oh wait
discord fuck you
change accordingly
please
[grimnatsuki@archlinux ~]$ NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer" OpenGL renderer string: Mesa Intel(R) UHD Graphics (TGL GT1)
holy shit this looks wrong but idk why, thats my integrated graphics btw
look up
i needed to edit them
[grimnatsuki@archlinux ~]$ __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer" OpenGL renderer string: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050/PCIe/SSE2
its aight?
yep
good job
now change the game launch
and we also might do this to the proton u are using..
what should I change it to
.
it no worky but...
it seems to be using my integrated graphics instead of my discrete one
I tried running other games (REPO) for a bit, and it uses the GPU 1 just fine, and runs smoothly
This might be a game issue
man should I obliterate my integrated graphics? lol
no. go to the proton version u are using and apply the same
make sure u are on performance mode in power settings
I just nuked by vulkan-intel driver and it worked lmao
This may cause some issues in the future but I'll ask here again if it does
thanks for your helo @polar rune , I'll mark this thread solved
leopard1a5_no2 received a thank you cookie!
nah, I have to play my game srry
YOUR PC WILL RUN SO HOT
I will update you when it does lmao
whatever u do reinstall. we can do prime-run steam
that dont work
tried that
hmmm my integrated graphics card is still being used for rendering some stuffs tho
so it should be fine
so I must cope
it is now my own responsibility for whatever happens next to my pc so dont feel bad
I'll continue to look for better solutions if that exist
