#9187 📣 What is a plural community?
A plural community, often also called a system, are a group of people who share one body.
Who is the ‘real person’?
This question is a common, but problematic idea, that one identity is more or less valid than another. All of the identities are valid, the body is shared by all of them. It is common for one identity to front more than the others however, this can change.
What is fronting?
Fronting is when one identity is in control of the body, you'll notice that one system/community has multiple bot accounts talking for them, the identity that is fronting can thus differentiate themselves compared to the others.
Some people in plural communities share memories, and even consciousness, with others. Other plural communities do not share memories. It is very individual (excuse the pun) to the plural community.

#8744 📣 PluralKit is a bot designed for plural communities on Discord, and is open for anyone to use. It allows you to register systems, maintain system information, set up message proxying, log switches, and more.
What is this for? What are systems?
This bot detects messages with certain tags associated with a profile, then replaces that message under a "pseudo-account" of that profile using webhooks. This is useful for multiple people sharing one body (aka "systems"), people who wish to roleplay as different characters without having several accounts, or anyone else who may want to post messages as a different person from the same account.
Why are people's names saying [BOT] next to them?
These people are not actually bots, this is just a Discord limitation. See the documentation for an in-depth explanation.

yeah like the bot says plurality varies a lot in degrees and presentations
My only concern about this feature is what seems the inability to block/ignore people using this. It seems like a benefit that can be misused in the wrong hands.
if someone is doing that you can report them to the mods
to get info on the account using pluralkit you just react with ❓ to any of their proxied messages
try it here
Needed to turn on DM from this server for the bot contacting me but after that, it works fine. 👍
what
what
you can also right click and hover over "Apps >" and there will be "❓ Message Info" to not have it DM you
i expressed my concern for that in their support server now im banned
that's shady
Perhaps they just get very angry about people asking questions already answered in FAQ?

But yeah... Even if not possible to implement, it is still a valid concern
Frequently asked questions (and the answers to them).
this whole bot is shady if you ask me
can you be specific about this concern you have and also please recognize that it's still a tool that many of us find useful
