Hey everyone, I have a problem with my fresh Arch installation with hyprland, when there is Japanese text on screen, instead of the text, I get black boxes, which I think are broken unicode characters? How could I fix this problem, and also change my system font to something that supports unicode better, like the CaskaydiaCove Nerd Font?

those boxes are generally called "tofu"
You need, no-tofu
aka noto
noto-fonts-cjk is a fine choice
how?
how would I configure the system to use this?
Just install it
Fonts fall back. If your current system font doesn't support a thing, it'll try and find something that does
it works, thanks, but there are still some boxes present on my screen. for example, the icon that is next to the support category in discord is just a box
