Im back after a few days of trying bazzite. I love it for gaming but honestly I still love arch for everything else. I want to go back to arch but theres one thing that I want to ask:

I use an old ASUS GL552V with an nvidia gtx 950m, but most of the time arch detects my intel one which results in terrible performance when I game. Can anyone teach me how to use the nvidia gpu and properly enable performance mode? Other than that Im planning to go back to arch and learn more about it.

oh and after the issue where my /boot is messed up after using chatgpt, this (PO: P3-512) is always at the end of my linux boot option, should I worry about this

The boot entry is nothing to worry about, you can update the boot entry super easy with efibootmgr

for your drivers. Check the chart, find what drivers you need for your card

Sure. If you wanted to keep the same partition scheme you could just reformat the partitions

#

That will clear the bazzite files out without having to go hacking the partitions again with fdisk

Gotta continue the install tomorrow

Archinstall is not so good, for reasons like this. That is a trivial error to resolve if you were doing it manually

#

Wait, that's not archinstall! 🤡

Too scared to learn manual install, might learn it tmr when I have time

It's genuinely easier a lot of the time

#

I reckon for this you could just hit y at that prompt

#

Archinstall tends to throw these scary looking errors, but the underlying problem is not scary

I have to continue it tomorrow though, I have something to do
