I've noticed on the web, that, on KDE Plasma , you can limit the battery charge to a threshold, instead of fully charging it.
I also read that, this needs a kernel driver for your battery/laptop to work.
I would like more information regarding this topic, to see if I can apply it to my own laptops.

I still lack the proper , detailed info about how it works

#

@viscid lantern do you use a power daemon?

#

archwiki doesn't provide the info I'm looking for

#

plasma uses powerdevil

#

for power profiles, I use tuned-ppd, as powerprofilesdaemon is not compatible with my systems

#

@viscid lantern

#

some forums and threads mention commands to achieve this, but I would like to figure out, what am I missing on plasma, to make the advanced power settings to show up

#

I must learn this, so I can apply it on my systems, for when I replace the batteries/current battery

#

this is not an issue, but actually me, wanting to learn about what I'm missing on plasma, on vanilla arch

#

also, learn more about battery

consider trying Upower: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Power_management#Console

start with upower --enumerate to list devices, look for a path that has bat at the end which represents a battery. then run upower -i <path> to get info on the battery. i assume that if it works, your battery should theoretically be readable. i dont know much more though, but i hope this is helpful

Well, after installing arch in another laptop. I noticed the power limits showing up on plasma after installing power profiles daemon
