Can't fullscreen app run through wine

Hi, my friend is trying to use Clip Studio Paint on Garuda dragonized through Wine, using compatibility mode for Windows 8.1.

Issue: When the program is running, maximizing the window results in much of the monitor being blurry. The program seems to think it is fullscreen, but it isn't.

I am a novice myself, but I also noticed that their PC doesn't have the option to choose between X11 and Wayland. My install has this option on the login screen.

they probably don't have sddm, and the blurriness seems like an xwayland bridge issue

(as an aside i would try out krita tbh)
