backstory: because of some mirror issue one package (gnome-keybindings) was failing to download.
In a fit of stupidity i decided the best way to fix the issue was deleting gnome-keybindings altogether. Unfortunately when I restarted my pc, the settings app was gone along with my wifi connection.
To fix this issue I connected my pc to my router via ethernet and tried to reinstall the package. This did not fix the issue however, even after restarting. After reinstalling the settings app did nothing i had another bright idea. Why not just delete and then reinstall ALL the gnome packages. That would fix it.
So i ran sudo pacman -Rcns gnome, and then reinstalled it.
Of course that did not work. In fact it made everything worse. When I restarted again the booting failed and i was greeted with a bunch of lovely errors.
At this point i can only assume anything i do will only make things worse, since that appears to be my luck recently. So if you guys have any ideas i would really appreciate the help.
