Root password changed [SOLVED]
done
you're welcome
btw , why did this sort of thing happen ?
it locks you out after 3 failed attempts
so if i had changed into a different user and then tried it then it would worked 🤔 ?
as in you misstyped your password
thanks guys
@wise geode
ah ok thanks
You're thanking too much ó_ò
you're welcome
btw it's a bug
i've seen it happen to people
when sudo just decides to not accept a 10000000% correct password
rebooting fixes it
its not a bug
read this
That's true, but it doesn't apply. It also happened to me and I almost never mistype my sudo password, and even when I do, never three times in a row. And when it happens, it doesn't fix itself after 10 minutes
That's what I'm trying to say, when it happened to me, I was in doubt and executed the exact same command, which didn't fix it, I had to reboot
So that's why I think it's a bug
