#Is wm good for gaming

@chilly basalt I wouldn't recommended using hyprland for my first use of a wm in arch, I would recommended using jay or cwc to get to know a wm's a little bit better, then use hyprland
I can use all my GUI apps and games work fine with i3, I would assume all wm would support all this just fine so not just i3.
You can do pretty much anything you can with DE with a WM.
Yeah you can very much use any WM or DE for gaming, as long as you are on up-to-date wayland, everything should be fine. I myself game on Hyprland with Steam, although I'm not that much of a gamer, and everything works perfectly.
As killertofu said, Hyprland might be hard for an inexperienced user.
I actually watch a ton of hyprland videos that I can feel it in my blood if anything wrong happen I will search on web
WMs ARE good, yes. They're harder to pick up for new users, more comfortable for many once they get used to it. But otherwise, they can make you feel like it's just broken if your binds are set wrong.
wms are lighter compared to full-fledged de so yes they are not only good, sometimes even better than de
