AppImages don’t run on fresh install

I have installed arch on a new device (thinkpad x201). the first time i simply didnt have fuse installed, but now, upon running in the terminal, it just waits for a few seconds before returning to the prompt. Is this just me being stupid and not installing something? otherwise, does anyone know how to fix this?

Did you chmod +x foobar.AppImage

Then ./foobar.AppImage

In very rare instances ive had appimages simply not work with a specific CPU or missing deps.

it does have execute permissions, and it just gives no output in the terminal, i’ll probably install from the aur/github for the time being

yeah it could be anything at this point. For sure its a good alternative to install the package instead. Im also a big fan of appimages.

personally i prefer to use a package manager, though i definitely understand the appeal and idea of appimages

Lowkey sad that citron appimage isnt compatible with my cpu I have to use the aur instead.
