hi, I just installed reaper and tried to insert a music file and it worked fine
make sure your system is up to date
do a sudo pacman -Syu reaper
could you also give some information about your system?
it is up to date.
Arch Linux x86_64
Linux 6.14.4-zen1-2-zen
login (Wayland)
Hyprland (Wayland)
okay, well i'm honestly not sure what it could be, do you have any other GUIs installed?
you could maybe try on something other than hyprland to debug the issue
worked fine on gnome and kde
i replace both of them with hyprland
was it recently?
yes
okay
idk, I use gnome at it's working fine, you might want to take that to hyprland support maybe
you can also use the arch forums
people there are pretty experienced
oke
welp im fucked
hold on, lemme try and update hyprland. maybe it'll fix the issue
oke
I thought your system was up to date tho, unless u mean to like, a git version or smthg
@spark temple found a couple github issues
did you update to the git version?
then u lied to me saying your system was updated :P
not really up to dated, only the main stuff like kernel
spoke too soon.. now there's new problem
basically, reaper freezing when dragging an audio file ibn
oh
well check these 2 issues out
^
basically they don't support xwayland dnd
hmm
yeah weird... it was launch in wayland mode.
i had to use GDK_BACKEND=x11
nope... same issue as the first one
I said xwayland
not wayland

I have no idea whether reaper has wayland support or not
welp, i guess i'll have to use reaper from wine
since saving doesn't work either since it require you to name a file
alright
