nvidia graphics card?
Interestingly my external screen was flashing pink lines but now it works?
Yes.
Do you have grub?
No
I do not
This happened after updating systemd, if it’s related
No other core packages were updated
journalctl -b -1 check this for any errors
Nvm of this
sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/systemd-put here the version.pkg.tar.zst
If you want to go back to previous version on systemd
I mean if this is a global issue with systemd I’ll probably wait for the next update but itn probably isnt
Or reinstall systemd
SDDM was also updated
hold on a moment. are you using the nouveau drivers or the nvidia drivers?
I don t think the problem is from SDDM
DE? x11 or wayland?
It failed to connect to my external monitor at first as I said, it was a blank screen with one vertical pink lines blinking, but now it works
KDE Plasma on Wayland
But I also do have Hyprland installed
I did manage to run both Plasma and Hyprland though
I will reboot again just cause
Okay the issue continues but the pink lines aren’t there anymore, the external monitor successfully works
it just works now? no errors?
The main issue does continue
im honestly a bit clueless how to proceed. might have to wait for someone who actually knows
Alright, thank you for your time!
It's nothing critical as I can still run DEs and WMs with no issues
It seems like this is only happening to me
i have seen that error before, but mainly when using X11, hence why its confusing that youre getting this on Wayland
thats one of the things thats making me clueless
I've never ran the X11 version of Plasma before
I just updated my system as usual, rebooted and boom
it gets stuck now
Some stuff in Plasma is also a little laggy or broken, but I am guessing thatis because I had to start it manually
send a quick message in #quick-questions, wait for someone to reply and ping them in here
Is that even allowed
your post has dropped down in the linux support list, hence why its less likely for someone to see it. sure. the rules states that "you are not owed support", but merely catching someones interest in a single question isnt something i would consider to be spammy or feeling entitled for support.
Well thank you for your explanation
