never face that issue, but did you try spotify from aur ?
it works fine for me
i havent tried it
whats the difference between the two?
just installed it and tried running it its looks the same, i didnt even need to log in it was logged in already
did you uninstall spotify-laucher?
nope
yup thats why
ok, im trying it rn
or do a clean reinstall, remove all the spotify cache in your system
nothing changed after i did, except my keyboard shortcut broke (it was spotify-launcher dependant)
idk where spotify-laucher stored
how?
can you show me the output of sudo find / -type d -iname '*spotify*' 2>/dev/null
because idk where spotify laucher stored :/

[solved] spotify-launcher not synchronizing all the songs
i just had the same issue again
sudo rm -r ~/.cache/spotify
fixes it but it also deleted all of my downloads
at least i managed to single out the exact line
because the downloaded songs is store in /.cache/spotify/Storage by default, you have to change the location
and as far as i know, even when you backup your downloads storage, reinstall and move them back wont work because spotify encrypts downloaded songs and ties them to your specific installation and login session. when you reinstall, the encryption keys get reset so you cant use any old files
also, the metadata and authentication tokens are lost when you reinstall
Makes sense
@harsh siren so i found a way to sync it without deleting all my downloads
woah, can you tell?
i just deleted all the files in that directory (but not directories), one of the files is probably responsible for synchronization mismatching
nut sure which one yet
one of these
few more desyncs and i'll figure out the exact file
its one of the files with no file extentions (but not any of "Singleton*" files, they only apear in runtime)
i tried to narrow it down by file extention and started with no extention
@harsh siren some porgress
wo didnt realize thats it
hows it now?
I know its one of these files:
dbrts
First Run
Local State
Variations
its narrowed down to 4 posible files
