#Attempting to install SDDM

isnt it just install sddm and enable, i also installed kde, and tried updating all the qt stuff
just downloaded the sddm package
yeah you should just have to install and enable it
oh i did have to change the target thingy but that was because i messed with it before,
but yeah,j ust does this
ignore the awful setup
run journalctl --unit sddm
try putting LANG=en_US.UTF-8 in /etc/locale.conf and uncomment en_US.UTF-8 in /etc/locale.gen and running locale-gen

maybe. i've never remembered needing to install a theme to use sddm
