yeah i'd say ext4 if you want it as storage for just linux
you would just tell steam to put games on the drive, it mounts automatically iirc
one partition?
uh
it's gonna be /dev/nvme...
those dots being a placeholder for the numbers
okay do /dev/sda then
then whatever it does
you just format it as ext4
which can be done from you DE
well, home2 isn't a home folder by linux's standards, just whatever is in /home
just don't
It can be its own directory
your home folder is where your user data is stored, you can make a second one, but that's meant for new users
just like
idk
i see what you're trying to do, and you can't do it without some duct tape level shenanigans
or making it the primary home folder
which makes no sense
I know exactly how it works, I just can't put it all into words
i'd say make the drive your steam games directory later
I was about to say that
now, you can't for what you're trying to do
yes
you can mount it from a desktop environment
you just need to format it, and mount it to your system, it could be just like an "folder"
and you can place any file, games, app into it
you dont need to work with it during installation
yup, or you can use terminal as well
yah, and its not related to the storage space of your home even when you mount it to /home/
yup
thats right
👍
thank you
