1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
additionally, I've been getting this error every time I boot into the usb
(yes, I've tried resetting the applesmc driver)
also when I do ip link it just shows me lo
@ashen sluice how old is the iso?
it should be good
I flashed the usb yesterday
with the offocial download iso from yesterday
@ashen sluice have you checked the t2 wiki?
so unless there was a huge fix since ~15 hours ago I don't know why there would be an issue with it
yeah but I couldn't figure it out
when I run the said scripts I get some error to do with pacman
let me try running it again and get a screenshot
ok ig not a pacman error but
note I did that in a macos terminal
because unix
it would make sense if I had to do it in the arch shell but again no wifi so
wait ima try just downlaoding the github zip
if that doesn't owrk I give up on the t2 thing
yup
aha wait no I found the iso
ok ima try flashing the usb again with this new iso
ok
this is
workin
so far
I see wlan0 in my wifi list now
after booting with the t2 iso file
im gonna try continuing the process now
ok so
I got archinstall working
cuz wifi works now too
and before I did this
I made a new partition specifically for arch
how do I make sure that's the one that's used
the 49 gb one is my macos partition
the 449 is the one I wanna use for arch
did you pick it?
it doesn't let me pick it specifically
in the page before that one
I can pick the apple one, the usb I'm booting form, or "loopback device"
@ashen sluice photo please of the before
"use a best effort default partition layout" --> where I am currently
when I select it it just picks the entire apple ssd
did you make the partition in mac?
yeah I did
I used the inbuilt disk management tool
to create the new partition
let me verify just in case
go back to mac and photo please
don't format it to apfs
yes
apfs is not in the iso/nor the main repos, it's in the aur https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/apfs-fuse-git
photo of it being in exfat, then archinstall
photo of the before please
doesn't up to date archiso allow you to do internet sharing over usb from an iphone? you know, the thing smartphones call "usb tethering", that essentially turns your phone into a usb ethernet dongle? from my experience it works in any scenario, but then again, my experience is android devices
@ashen sluice
it should come with libimobiledevice i think
I actually wasn’t aware of this until now, thank you
gravitos received a thank you cookie!
