OK, I can't answer every question you have. I periodically browse the #1006743093120352338 channel and I help with things I think I can help with. I'm sure others do too. I have no idea about this and I don't own any NVIDIA devices.

Last time I tried wayland it went smoothly with ny Nvidia GPU
I think it improved a lot in the last year
