#Arch linux installation on an old macbook pro blackscreening and shutting off

I got a USB with arch iso using usbimager. I got my macbook to boot menu, chose the usb drive, it showed me the arch install boot menu, the inputs were extremely delayed and after choosing the normal arch install option it blackscreened for a good minute or two then shut off.

#

(I did not test whether the hardware was even compatible with linux let alone arch)

#

(another piece of context that may be relevant is that this macbook is already a dual boot with MacOs and Win 10...
This arch installation is to replace both)

#

(not using rEFInd btw, just the built-in boot loader)

Only these pop up on boot menu

If i want the arch image to be readable it must be an actual image
