theres no fix to this known to me, i think the issue is that the highlighted border is created by i3

#

and ur corner rounding is made by picom

#

so i3 has no way to know how windows are left after picom post-processing

#

possible workarounds are:

#

decreasing ur rounding

#

removing border highlighting

#

increasing border highlighten so the border gets wider and the cut effect is lower

u can try a wayland compositor, they also provide compositing without relying on extra components

i tried sway and hyprland, sway is compatible with i3 config, its the i3 alternative for wayland
