my gnome settings app wont launch
i already tried searching in google but no luck there
running gnome-shell --replace doesnt fix it
but it says that i have to relog
reinstalling the settings app also didnt help
(im newbie btw)

im running cachyos which is arch based but has some peformance tweaks in it

open up a terminal and run gnome-control-center

install samba if you didn't do that yet; update your entire system

remove samba then: pacman -Rns samba (it should also remove some other packages, like ldb, which is the problem rn)

do note however that samba is the thing that lets you access windows network shares and shared printers, and removing that will break this feature

also, try updating/reinstalling/removing smbclient

you can try, but i cant guarantee that it will just work

its apparently related to partial updates, which means it may still be broken until cachy's repos update all the relevant stuff
