#audio spontaniously bugs out (pipewire)

my audio has had this issue since one day it just started bugging out and when it did it also causes no audio to play back from my headphones. it also causes my browser to lag.

it can fix itself sometimes too. when this happens i just let it do it's thing for a while and eventually it settles on analog stereo output. this analogue stereo output also doesn't output the correct volume. for example i used to have my volume on 45 before this, now i have to keep it at 75 for roughly the same loudness.

this happened without an update, has no obvious cause, and even after many updates and restarts it still happens.

oddly it stablizes when my headphones are unplugged and it stops completely, even the volume is correct at 45. only issue is i don't have audio anymore as my headphones are unplugged, and plugging them back in just lets it bug out again.
