You're doing an arch install?

hazy summit
#

its already installed

#

worth noting that this worked during installation

#

ping did work during installation

daring forge
#

Then you should be configuring it through your DE no?

now when i run iwctl after reboot its stuck on Waiting for IWD to start...

daring forge
#

You can start it manually

#

I think you forgot to setup your network while you were installing since everything worked anyways with the archiso

hazy summit
#

all i did is systemctl enable NetworkManager if thats it

daring forge
#

That's a different package than iwctl

hazy summit
#

so what do i do

daring forge

[device] is literally [device] and not the device name right

daring forge

Yes, although you could try the command and test it

#

hazy summit

Is that correct setup

hazy summit

works after reboot :D

#

didnt expect that

#

Thank you and have a nice day

#

I didnt use iwctl to connect to wifi, did it connect automatically?

#

Probably

daring forge
# hazy summit didnt expect that

Just remember that whenever you change a config or any file, apps may or may not load it immediately so it's best to either restart the service or reboot to make sure that it gets loaded
