Media streaming causes crash or freezes

When I try to watch a video on youtube it either freezes the browser (i use firefox) or crashes it. And spotify doesn't play back music either for I suspect the same reason.

either you're using adblock or have issue realted to media drivers or audio video codec issue

why not try on another browser with no adblock

if issue still persist then it maybe audio video codec issue

if not then it most probably firefox issue or adblock issue

try cleaning cache or cookies first

If you're getiing this problem solely on firefox then it maybe firefox issue

some config issue

If you want to install codecs - sudo pacman -S gst-plugins-base gst-plugins-good gst-plugins-bad gst-plugins-ugly gst-libav ffmpeg

I would suggest looking at /var/log/pacman.log related to this issue
