would like to do a clean reinstall

im pretty sure i fucked up my laptop, for some reason my archlogin doesnt work anymore. i now downloaded the newest iso file onto my usb and im trying to boot the laptop with that but it just doesnt allow me to boot it for some reason, any help appreciated

how is your "archlogin" not working and what do you mean doesnt allow you to boot

does it not show up in the boot menu, or it does but doesnt boot into the usb when you select it, etc. more details

and im 100% using the correct login but it doesnt log me in anymore

it says its wrong even when its not possible, maybe i deleted my user somehow

if you followed the guide I think it should be root and your normal user account password or whatever you set it as

so when you were doing the installation you ran chroot to install whatever on arch and itll get you in as root

and thats when you prob created your normal user account right?

or did you also change things for root as well

was it during the installation, or did you not create a user and just use root. then when you were done installing, you logged into root and then created a user

when you use that on the usb, you can just copy iso files on the usb and it will be as if you flashed it

so instead of using rufus or whatever else every time you want to flash an iso on the usb, you just copy how many will fit on it
