[SOLVED] Game is crashing using Steam

CS2 Start options: -vulkan

without -vulkan it doesnt run too btw

for some reasons i got the game running one time but then never

Does the screen go black and exits you out back to the page where you press play?

Also have you checked if your graphics drivers are up to date

but i think thats not a good idea to run as root because steam writes down new files for the root user too, and when i dont run stean the next time with root it cant read the files

Yeah it’s probably not allowed I had the same problem before trying to run counter strike on Debian

i used fedora before Arch and on fedora the game ran fine

but no on arch :/

I don’t know what the problem is but I think Linux always crashes when trying to load a steam game for some reason

Oh, I just saw that CS2 is unavailable on Linux due to VAC support

Yes, but I think it's more the fault of the game developers.

when cs2 was released it was also completely buggy on linux

Go to settings and try another proton?

i dont use any proton because the game run native but i can try proton 8

i just testet with proton 9

Proton 8 is in most cases the best, but 9 should also work (It flikers for me)

Yeah that mostly they need to know that a lot of Linux users want to game too it’s not fair

i really did everything and not a single game runs on arch

i already used arch and everything was fine but not at this install

i dont even use the latest arch iso because the lastest was so buggy and arch install didnt even work

and that was a issue many people had

and lib32

i installed lib32 because i want to try if its working with it but didnt worked too

i thought that could work because steam is 32 bit but idk

oh thats weird because it didnt installed automaticly with the steam package

just the lib32 package

Try removing that, you shouldn't have it installed as you aren't using amdvlk
