when I installed GNOME I had an alert that my disk space was running low and I want to get rid of KDE plus because the cursor and everything else is still brought from kde
@median tartan -Rns
Is it one command
Or separate
From.the |
that is all one command
yes
The packages will still remain right
If not it's fine just as long as network manager is built in for gnome
what packages?
Like firefox
Etc
Cus currently after I installed gnome from kde
It's all mixed together
it shouldn't
Packages unrelated to KDE should remain installed
@half cradle wait is it kde?
shows error
sudo pacman -Rns plasma?
or kde
with something ese
?plasma kde-applications
?
@median tartan pacman -Q plasma-desktop plasma-meta
what does -Q do?
see if the package is installed
remove plasma-meta
sudo pacman -Rns plasma-meta?
yes
no, meta requires desktop and it will be removed when you remove meta
yes
sudo pacman -Scc?
-Scc command not found
now worked and asking if I should remove all files from cache
Alr and removed unused repositories
@median tartan unused repos?
and then sudo pacman -Qttdq | sudo pacman -Rns -
yes it also mentioned if I should remove unused repositories
@median tartan screenshot please
psa: if it has a capital ie Y/n the uppercase letter will be default, meaning you don't have to type Y just enter
oh alr
And then after that its this one command?
sudo pacman -Qttdq | sudo pacman -Rns -
yes
did this say anything?
screenshot that please
@median tartan ok, now reboot
... solved
