#RAM upgrade not working

stupid question… but you are putting the ram in the correct slot right? typically ram goes 1,3,2,4. Hope I’m not being insulting
Did u check if ur CPU supports that much RAM, some CPUs do not
Since it shows 8GB
If they were fully faulty it wouldnt boot i guess
is ur CPU i5-8400?
if it is there u have it: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/126687/intel-core-i58400-processor-9m-cache-up-to-4-00-ghz/specifications.html
Intel® Core™ i5-8400 Processor (9M Cache, up to 4.00 GHz) quick reference with specifications, features, and technologies.
as shown in the docs, u must use ddr4-2666mhz ram
yep i saw, as i have seen u are mixing different ram modules
this isnt bad at all, it can work but my only thoughts rn are:
1 -> Ur new ram stick is dead
2 -> Ur new ram stick and the old one are incompatible for some weird reason
I think its this one but do not discard the other one
In that case i do not see any
Try to find another ram stick even if its has less clock speed
If it works, ur new stick is dead
If u can obv
So try it, it should work even with less clock speed, it will just run with the least clock speed available
But is alright for testing
