my gnome de just completely froze when I left my pc on after a while, any ideas on what potentially happened? I don't know if the journalctl is any useful so any other suggestion on how I can troubleshoot this would be great

I know its a little offtopic of this thread but I got an issue with shutting down my pc
when I shut down it gets stuck on a black screen with an underscore blinking at the top left of the screen
does that sound familiar to you?
