Easier to remove thread, there is no useful info
@tropic mica this, it's bad practice to remove the problem and not give the answer, if others face the same issue, they now cannot search it.
[SOLVED] system won’t boot after upgrade
The original issue was that after a system upgrade via pacman, it was throwing me into an emergency shell. I hypothesized that it may have been interrupted due to me being kicked back to SDDM before it completed, and saying it was all up to date when I reran the command. The original post mentioned some things I had tried, such as reinstalling all pacman packages. The issue was that I had to mount the system partition AND the boot partition before chrooting into the system partition and reinstalling everything. (Chroot from Arch install ISO since keyboard didn’t work from emergency shell.)
I apologize for the confusion, I wanted to appropriately remove this from current threads so people wouldn’t spend their time on it. I’m not all that familiar with Discord’s thread feature and completely understand/support the philosophy of keeping them open with solutions. 🙂
Is your boot partition mounted via /etc/fstab?
If not, it might be prudent to add it
