Just restart
You've given fuck all information, so, no.
for all we know it's just "stuck" on something that isn't it being stuck, just taking a while 🤷
yeah thats fair but honestly i dont know whats more to give
i literally just typed -syu and now my computers frozen
The user had provided some more information in #tech-general a few minutes ago
id be happy to give you some more important info if you ask me questions
i just dont know what that information would be tho
then they need to include it here instead.
I mean, show us the screen, tell us if you've tried to access TTY
what was the update that was happening
look up, and yes i have, didnt work 8(
just a pacman syu
"I don't know, I didn't look at any of the packages at all, I just blindly clicked update and clicked off of it"
yeah you likely will need to restart if you can't even access a TTY
im new to this man, you dont gotta be so dickish

You give no information, make the people trying to help you ask you questions, and then insult them?
They were just trying to help and get more information there is nothing dickish abiut that
thats not what i meant i just thought you were being a bit rude
yeah this is what i did
sorry im shit at telling tone thru text so i didnt know if this was geniune or not
sorry
okay, if things go wrong then you'll likely need to resort to using the pacman log, lets see what happens with a reboot, you likely will need to hold the power button down
howd i do that?
Open /var/log/pacman.log i guess
DuckDuckGo. Privacy, Simplified.
does this go from most recent to least recent or vice versa
oh nvm
everything seems to have updated correctly
ty too
also @shell python sorry if i seemed like an asshole
is it not date and time stamped?
it is i just realized that
do you use an aur helper, like yay or paru?
yeah!
run it with no arguments
yeah you'll need to delete that and then run yay again
the files literally empty what is blud even doing here ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
it's existence stops pacman from running twice
pacman starts, if that file is there, pacman goes "nope", if it's not, it creates it and continues
