As the title says, I'm trying to install Arch to a pc that I built a while back, but in my naivete, I bought a motherboard without video output. The installation will be a headless install, with remote access over my lan. So I won't need a monitor once it's all set up.

Is it possible to boot my current desktop pc from the arch install usb and point the installer to the ssd that I'll be using as the boot drive for my headless server? I've searched around the web, but not found any solid information, so I figured I'd toss this up here to see what kind of input I get before I dive into this head first.

I hope I asked that question clearly, because I'm still only on my first cup of coffee and haven't cleared the cobwebs from my head yet.

So can you describe how many pcs do you have available, and can you swap ssds?

I think I've sorted it out though. I can open my desktop and unplug the sata cables for the drives it uses, then plug in just the ssd that I want to install the OS to, and run the installation and do the configs for remote access. Once complete, move the ssd to the pc I want it in, and set everything back to how it belongs.
