you need to install the drivers, xorg-drivers groop will install all the open source drivers you need

#

sudo pacman -S xorg-drivers

#

and install all that it suggests

#

also install mesa

undone urchin
#

Hmm

#

That didn't seem to change a thing

#

Could it be something wrong innthe xinitrc?

tawny berry
#

this line is conserning : 18.338 (11) LoadModule: "intel"

#

how did you install arch

undone urchin
#

I don't have an intel device

#

ok, try reinstalling nvidia drivers

#

or installing the newest version

undone urchin
#

Ok

tawny berry
#

and if it doesn't help, try linux-lts, mb the latest version of the kernel broke something

#

man, sorry but I have basically no clue, you can try reverting to the stock configuration of xinit xorg and all the related packages

tawny berry
#

There is somewhere a pacman command for that, but the easiest way is to remove all packages that could cause issues, and its configs with pacman -Rns and then reinstall

#

also remove ~/.xinitrc

#

and ~/.xprofile

undone urchin
tawny berry
#

it would remove all the packages and its configs and dependencies, so sudo pacman -Rns xorg-xinit will remove everything about and related to xorg-xinit

#

never mind, this is a bad idea, let me google for the proper way

undone urchin
#

To late lmao

tawny berry
#

if just xorg-xinit, its fine

undone urchin
#

Yeag

tawny berry
#

ok, do you remember which xorg configs did you manually touch?

undone urchin
#

I believe i have only touche xinitrc thoe

tawny berry
#

and what happened before that, how did the display manager, and which broke

undone urchin
tawny berry
#

and which display manager did you use?

undone urchin
#

After that nothing worked so i reinstalled a new dm

undone urchin
tawny berry
#

just checking

#

where did you get the log in your first message

undone urchin
#

Gnome wayland works

#

Kinda

tawny berry
#

huh, this seams to me like a bad nvidia driver, try following the arch wiki nvidia installation guide

#

but tbh I think I can't help anymore

undone urchin
#

It does seems like a driver issue

#

Gnome and kde are 4:3 somehow

#

And pixelated

tawny berry
#

ok, remove xorg-drivers, you might be running noveu drivers

#

Or check the lspci

#

check nouveau arch wiki article

#

follow the NVIDIA arch wiki guide

#

There are some important things there

undone urchin
#

Yeah i reinstall the drivers redid the config and it seems to work now tysm
