wayland bar time/date is blank

I am new to archlinux, so I used a script to install hyprland. Its almost a year old so i guess it broke.

On the left its meant to show date/time and on the right its meant to show current desktops (window layouts) which also doesnt work

can someone point me into the right direction on how to fix this?

I wouldn't recommended using a wm for my first use of a wm in arch, I would recommended using a de to get to know arch a little bit better, then use a wm

iv used arch linux desktop with kde plasma and found it bloated, so i just installed a bare bones version

well hyprland seems really good, its really easy to use in terms of just using it for organizing windows

i see, i dont even understand what the major difference is, right now hyprland seems fine its just that wayland is broken beacuse of updates
