was installing nvidia drivers (proprietary(nvidia-mdks)) and got to installing linux-headers before running into this error

did sudo pacman -S linux-headers work

or like does it fail the install

also for linux package iirc nvidia package should be used

nvidia-dkms is typically used for custom kernels

It’s also easier if you have many kernels

if you have only one kernel and it's the vanilla linux kernel you should probably just use nvidia
