is dhcpcd safe to uninstall?

Playing with Gentoo I gave more attention to internet connection - but I don't know much about how it works.

And as always I installed iwd to handle connections.
And in the Handbook and in the Youtube videos they always set up dhcpcd. But is it really needed as I use iwd?

Before coming here asking stupid questions I decided to ask ChatGPT (ofc good choice) and it says there's no problem (but before check if iwd is alright).

youll have to enable iwd's built in dhcp client if you dont want to use dhcpcd

nothing is needed, especially in gentoo

well, dhcpcd is a dependency of netifrc that is a dependecy of openrc.

well, there's no problem to keep it here
