Hey all on my desktop PC I used to dual boot Ubuntu and windows but no longer do, however the grub menu always stayed. All of a sudden I’ve updated my windows and now the windows boot option in the bios has just vanished and when I boot it opens the grub command line and I have no idea what to do! Yes I know this isn’t windows support but it seems like no one else in other discords who doesn’t use Linux knows about grub so can someone please help?

see this https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dual_boot_with_Windows#Troubleshooting , is this problem relate to you ..
Ubuntu doesn’t exist anymore, I deleted the partition for it a while ago because I had no need for it anymore now I had Linux on laptop
Ubuntu was installed on a different drive
So I can’t have done that
i see this as a w
jokes aside
your parition is likely not gone
it's just the boot entry that's gone
you can recover it with efibootmgr
boot to a linux iso and use efibootmgr from there
Right I’ll give it a go thanks
And unfortunately I need windows to play games, as much as I hate it
which games
Idk what solution you’re gonna be able to offer me, they don’t run on Linux, and I’m not gonna give up playing them and other games to switch OS
I play a lot of multiplayer games with anti cheat, so almost none of them work
