#[SOLVED] KDE install is f*ked and not sure how/why

So let me start with some context:

Earlier today I was switching off an LTS release of nodejs to the normal package.. So I had to rm -rf /usr/lib/node_modules.. That's my first suspicion.. Then I just did a normal system update, nothing special. But I noticed a lot of issues; Certain apps won't run, my wallpapers are gone, SDDM theme is gone, etc. Certain buttons in the KDE bottom menu don't work, such as shut down.. I have no idea how my installation got so broken. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
