Different troubleshooting from archwiki / different commands to check my wifi hardware/ adapter / drivers
@livid dawn what Nyasaki is asking for is the list of commands you tried, preferrably with their output
Ah sorry. I tried too much to remember, I only recall ip link
could you perhaps do device list in iwctl?
I didn't connect to anything. No networks were showing
this is bad form, please show the entire screen, not just half the screen
is the interface up?
Yes it's up
It's the whole screen. I included everything
state is missing
you quite clearly did not lol
Its down
Bruh... I looked online and they said the UP thing should be inside the brackets
What should I do next ?
set it UP
How !?
Nothing changed?
RTL8723BE
Is that correct?
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=208472
Did u try this?
Ye it's correct and yes I did try it
sudo modprobe rtl8723be ant_sel=2
This?
Wait no no hold up
Lemme check again
Oh man that was super confusing. But I typed the comment command / the one you just sent me
I'll go to iwctl to check again?
Yes
try after a reboot with 2
Alrighty
Didn't work
Tried with both 1 and 2 after rebooting 2 times and still nothing
guessing you can't just hook up an ethernet cable?
Nope
Is there any chance this is a laptop that simply required you press the WiFi button down?
(If yes and you’re not sure on the button show a picture of the keyboard
Hey. Just bought an Ethernet cable and I could install it now normally
Thanks for the help @frigid parcel and @junior stag
vegancookies, and nyasaki received a thank you cookie!
Can you get wifi working on your installed system?
