I want to run Arch Linux alongside Windows 11. I make three new partitions: boot (1G), swap (8G), and root (202G). I ran the archinstall script but got stuck at the disk selection part and couldn't find any videos on YouTube about the latest archinstall.

I selected the disk, and there are 8 partitions, three of which are the ones I created for Arch: nvme0n1p6, p7, and p8. So, how do I mount them without formatting my Windows partitions?

You didn't mention, so I'll have to ask before assuming - but Win11 is installed and boots perfectly? And the EFI partition Win11 boots from is this 1GB boot partition you will also be using with Arch?

windows boots perfectly

and I haven't yet installed arch

I can't find any installation video for the new archinstall script

ok, I'm no expert and I don't know if you can have 2 separate EFI partitions... but most people who dual boot Win and Linux use 1 EFI partition to serve both - and it isn't hard to setup at all

#

I did it without the script, but following a very well done YT vid

I had zero issues at the end, and Arch booted right up. I had a bunch of 'cleanup' issues afterwards, but it's been smooth sailing

If you watch and follow along with that video, I doubt you'll have any problems... but if you do, I can help. But I'm also going to bed and won't be back for a few hours 😉
