Okay try rebooting
Umount and all?
Yeah
Poweroff u mean
Yeah
What about pattition and not just on root partition bit
wdym
try rebooting and if that doesn't work I'll show you how you can send me your journalctl
How do i do this
okay chroot in again
journalctl -xb | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io
it will give you a link that you can share with me
weird, no entries
journalctl | grep error | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io
I think when chrooting in, journalctl still shows the journal from the archiso for some reason?
Just a cursor for this command
are you still seeing something like /boot not empty before emergency mode
Idk idr checking
In logs?
yeah send that
After rebooting
yeah
wth
okay I wanna see what you did you break this
cat /var/log/pacman.log | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io
K
do you remember what day and time this broke like this
ping google.com
The only thing i can think of is thats when i updated system and when i rebooted it failed
I have wifi connected
It works
Ping works
Idk why
This is coming
Ya
Before
It broke
I didnt even use it
Tho
Or do any snapshot
Lol
Wish i did
So i could revert back rip
looks like it updated a lot
Ya...oops
[2023-08-09T15:20:00-0400] [PACMAN] Running 'pacman -S timeshift'
[2023-08-09T15:29:03-0400] [PACMAN] Running 'pacman -S timeshift 23.07.1-2'
[2023-08-09T15:36:55-0400] [PACMAN] Running 'pacman -Syu'
``` any reason why you specified the version for timeshift
How do i send that
journalctl --since 2023-08-09 15:00:00 --until 2023-08-09 17:00:00 | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io
Kk
hmm actually that command doesn't work for me
I'll maybe have to send a pull request to the TLDR repo
sec
K
journalctl --since yesterday | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io
actually I was just using it wrong
Still not working
sudo pacman -S pastebinit
Lol fair
Hm
pastebinit -i journal.log
failed for me
Same
I'm looking for another solution
maybe try ix.io again
cat journal.log | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io
heck pastebin and other services closed their api
I can't find anything that works besides ix.io anymore
not really
cat journal.log | curl -F 'f:1=<-' http://ix.io try that with the http://
brb
K
I got to get my son off the bus first
You can ask in Linux chat for a working pastebin from terminal service
Lmk when ur back
kind of back
but got a 5 yo here lol
going to test pasteshell.com
not working
I've enver seen ix.io not work before
try curl --upload-file journal.log https://transfer.sh
Is this good?
yeah I got it
okay I may have found something
Yay
chroot in
comment out the boot partition line in /etc/fstab
Its grey
Wym
nano /etc/fstab and put a # infront of the line with /boot
Lol
lsblk -f
wtf idk why it doesn't show the UUID
Me neither
findmnt -fn -o UUID /dev/sda1
Sda1?
sorry
Ok
genfstab -U /mnt >> /mnt/etc/fstab
Is this after i exit chroot?
yes
umount -R /mnt && poweroff
try booting now
you had two entries for each partition in your fstab
Idk how that only caused an issue now tho
With the update
It worked
OMG
Yayyy
FINALLY
How did i manage that
idk
..solved
