So I'm installing arch linux through archinstall (for reference, im wiping my system clean with each reinstall although i had an i3 arch install one time, although now deleted) and whenever i try to install through the minimal profile (i want to set up hyprland afterwards, but i cant even reach the post-install config screen), i get hit with said error (yes, i've tried just installing with the hyprland profile already).

usually pacman installs fast anyway

then followed by
ERROR: Failed to install packages to new root

for reference, im installing the following packages:
git firefox discord neovim nano

it says pipewire-jack and jack2 are in conflict

ive determined the problem is most likely pipewire

#

im trying a reinstall with pulseaudio instead

#

still fails with pulseaudio

#

gonna try with neither pulseaudio or pipewire
