So I have this old laptop and rn don't have any access to a de as it can't install the only os I have which is nixos minimal for some reason and I was wondering on how I can install something like Holoiso from the terminal

Are you using a Ventoy boot media or something where you can just drop the iso in there or do you also need to flash it to a USB stick through a terminal?

When you boot into a live ISO it loads the content of that ISO into you RAM and boots from there, you likely ran out of space as it was installing

I made it use all the space and when I go to mount
sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt
mount: /mnt: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.
dmesg(1) may have more information after failed mount system call.

You can do the same thing we just did to flash any other ISO, If you are after something like HoloOS I recommend Nobara, it's pretty stable cus it's based on Fedora if you don't mind that it's not Arch
