so uh in the video you can see that the screen flickers randomly but its only the recording thats flickering and not my screen, I've tried OBS and simplescreenrecorder both and still getting the same video output
if you want any information about my system please let me know.
I am using Intel i5-7500 with no external GPU, I am on KDE Plasma X11 session

I installed arch with a 3rd party installer before and it was perfectly fine with X11 session

okay

Install plasma-wayland-session to enable the wayland session. OBS uses pipewire to record the screen in wayland

okay so

#

i can't use simplescreenrecorder in wayland

#

the pipewire works in wayland and i didn't notice the screen flicker

#

how do I get pipewire working in X11?

I respect your choice and regret my decision to try to tell you to test the recording in Wayland so that we can isolate the problem - if it is x11 related. Since xshm is a very old extension and may be buggy. I won't try to convince you to test recording on wayland any further.

Thank you for your understanding and I'm very sorry for the disturbance I caused.

I hope other people can help you solve the problem soon.

Have a nice day

I recorded in wayland when you told me, you dont need to apologize

#

I saw 0 flickers which likely means my problem would be solved if I use pipewire

#

but pipewire is only working for me when I use wayland
