#Are custom clients against server rules

If they are:

  1. They need to be clearly communicated
  2. There needs to be specifics. Obviously stuff like message loggers (which no one who's sane would use) would be against the rules, but what about stuff like emojis? I can use inspect element to get an emoji's link and then have the same result as if I were to use a free Nitro emojis plugin.

I meant that specific mods need to be allowed or disallowed

As in, hypothetically, if I were to use a modded/custom client, I'd need to know if I can use extenstions like Freemoji, which grab the link to an emoji's PNG and place it instead of the real emoji

tbh someone a few days ago sent us mods a screenshot with a client mod for temporarily keeping deleted messages to report someone breaking the rules and I'm pretty sure nothing happened to them

But I don’t like the fact that one can have the ability to log messages. One client mod (the one everyone uses except me :P) flat out bans those kinds of plugins from being hosted on its website

I literally got banned from one because I told the mods that muting someone is more effective then banning them if they won’t drop a subject... I was devastated

I long time ago I used to use a client mod with a plugin that just stopped the html element for the message from being deleted and didnt actually save anything (they would disappear if you refreshed or restarted discord) and I just assumed it was something like that but I didn't look into it

safe to say its a touchy subject,

like, I use Aliucord for example for quality of life addons, such as twitter embeds and all that stuff that was removed from Discord mobile,

and a purple colour scheme but thats besides the point
