What drivers did you install and what is your GPU
Also are mesa and 32 bit mesa installed
Those provide OpenGL, which is what GoldSrc uses for hardware acceleration
Sounds like a driver issue to me
Install lib32-mesa
ok
What iGPU do you have?
its already installed
intel hd graphics
xf86-video-intel
lib32 mesa? Not just mesa.
yes
if you had xf86-video-intel installed, uninstall it and try.
unless your GPU is older and needs it for some reason, it is an inferior driver and the default driver in kernel is better
i didnt
before i installed it
it ran at 20-30 fps
now it runs kinda fine
40-50
but still not as good as it ran on windows 7
try running it with vulkan?
how
using steam?
-vulkan
in the game's settings, in launch options
pacman -Qs vulk
to check if you have the relevant vulkan packages installed
Turn off compositing
Xfwm doesn't turn it off automatically for fullscreen applications
how
pacman -Qs vulk
did you check this?
vulkan should run better
ok looks fine.
try again without xf86-video-intel ?
after removing, check lspci -k | grep -A 3 VGA to make sure i915 driver is used
try the game again ๐
with -vulkan
btw it will stutter only in the beginning probably
for compiling shader cache
Get used to uninstalling packages with the s flag pacman -Rs so you don't end up with too much unneeded dependencies
okay
now it doesnt load in maps
like
i open the console
type map de_dust2
and it would crash
my whole laptop
runs ok without the -vulkan flag
but lags when moving my mouse
yeah
